I like this book 6 in the Septimus Heap series I like Septimus Heap I like the crazy concoction of characters that inhabit the Castle and the the world surrounding it I like the intricacy of the plot and multiple steps reuired to solve the problem of the story which in this book is a spreading fog of Darknesse spurred on by that trouble making apprentice of the deceased Dom Daniel I like how the characters evolve and change and new things happen to themHowever I think I might be growing slightly bored with this wonderful cast of characters I think that I want of Septimus himself Septimus is the title of the series yet his actions are not even the most important ones of this particular story He simply is not in enough of the plot I would still recommend it if you are a Septimus fan However if you have not read any of the earlier books in the series I suggest starting at the beginning with Magyk This story really does not make a lot of sense without the background of
