This is a well written and useful book with some very good painting and preparation tips and clear step by step instructions My complaint is that in my copy at least page 35 is a duplicate of page 34 except for the footer The real page 35 has been left out completely I returned the book for a replacement but the replacement copy has the same problem This is a print run issue and probably affects many books If you buy this book check pages 34 and 35 Given the high price the book should be perfect

    What a find this book is. First, it's hard to find how to painting books for birds and flowers using oils which intimidate so many beginners.     Content of this book is good, but since I purchased before a hard cover edition of the singing birds book, I found this other one with lower quality images and text too small, can’t keep opened in one page you need to somehow 'break the back' to stay in one page., again, comparing against the singing birds book.
