    I have loved reading about Jewel Nightingale and her life of her family and the struggle to surviveJewel goes through life wanting lovemarriage and childrenOn the night of the opening in town of a new building her cousin Benjy plies her with ale with a heartbreaking result and jewel is desperate for a way out of the shameI was so happy that i read this book and can highly recommend it if you want to know what
