I saw the 2000 film adaptation of Pay It Forward in my health and human services class so I figured I should read the book and I can easily say that although the film was good the book was better by far The characters feel much real and alive in the book the descriptions of everything are well detailed and incredibly vivid and the book itself is both depressing and very hopeful It s an excellent novel about selflessness empathy and understanding and about how we all have it in our own power to do the right thing and pay it forward
